What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. New Holland Leadership Academy is implementing PBIS at our school because it is the best framework to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and mental health. We believe that the best way to improve student achievement is to teach and model the behaviors they are expected to display, rather than punish for behaviors that we do not want to see. PBIS provides us with a sustainable model to support students, educators, and families. 

 

PBIS Rewards

Here at New Holland Leadership Academy, we use the PBIS REWARDS Platform to award students points for positive behaviors. The students can then use the points to purchase items from our PBIS store. 

 

PBIS Rewards Communication

PBIS Rewards has a communication tool that we will use to get in touch with families. If you have a student at NHLA, you will need the PBIS Rewards Family App. If you need help getting connected on the PBIS Rewards Family App, please contact your student’s teacher.

 

We are so excited about all of the positive interventions that we have in place for our students this year and look forward to all of the ways PBIS will continue to make New Holland a great place to learn and lead!
